Open Innovation Contest 10 is an international business contest hosted by NTT DATA. Successfully hosting its first worldwide business contest in 2017, NTT DATA is expanding Contest 10 to 16 cities in 14 different countries.
This project allows NTT DATA to seek the best startups; bringing them the opportunity to explore the Japanese market and to partner with major companies. Being involved in this project 4 years in a row, STEIN oversees the branding of the contest, all international communication with regional partners and startups, and the handling of logistics related to the regional contests in 16 cities and the Grand Finale in Tokyo on January 2020. This project allows NTT DATA to seek the best startups; bringing them the opportunity to explore the Japanese market. Being involved in this project 2 years in a row, STEIN covers the branding of the contest, all international communication with regional partners and startups, handle logistics related to the regional contests in 15 cities and the Grand Finale in Tokyo on March 2018. FIN/SUM WEEK 2017 (FinTech Summit Week) is co-organized by Nikkei Inc, the Financial Services Agency of Japan, and Fintech Association of Japan, held for 4 days on Sep 2017. The summit aims to bring key stakeholders ― influential, disruptive and innovative startups, corporates, and government officials on a common platform to discuss the latest international developments and trends. STEIN designed agendas of workshops with creative facilitating and brought leading speakers worldwide to share their experience and knowledge on topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), InsurTech, cryptocurrency, regulatory challenges, blockchain, FinTech accelerator and etc. See More...

 
 
 

AG/SUM (AgriTech Summit) is hosted by Nikkei Inc and held on May 2017. This is the third global startup event of Nikkei Inc, followed by Pioneers Asia 2016 and FIN/SUM 2016. The summit focuses on “Agritech”, the fusion of agriculture and technology, and how disruptive technology is fusing with agriculture to shape our future by exchanging ideas, crossing borders and industries. We believe that AgriTech, and new businesses that stem from it, can help solve global issues. Global Open Innovation Business Contest 5.0 is an international pitch contest hosted by NTT DATA. Successfully hosting four open innovation business contests, NTT DATA tackles pre-existing problems within tech and allows startups to develop unique solutions. With goals on increasing collaboration with global startups, the contest is an outlet where international startups can connect and potentially partner with in order to expand in Japan.  This year, NTT DATA presented the Global Open Innovation Business Contest 5.0, expanding the contest to 10 different cities worldwide. Financial Innovation Business Conference (FIBC) 2017 is a a startup conference that explores innovation within the Japanese financial services market. The FIBC conference pools together a network of distinguished people from FinTech at every level to contribute, explore, and network. FIBC fosters growth within Japan and build an international community of forward thinking innovators related to the Financial Industry. FinTech Summit 2016 (FINSUM) is a FinTech summit that was hosted by Nikkei Inc. and the Financial Services Agency of Japan in September 2016. FINSUM encourages technological innovation and the expansion of a venture ecosystem that will become the driving force behind new economic growth, as technology becomes more prevalent in our daily lives. STEIN oversaw an array of responsibilities from client relationship management, set design and production, startup and speaker coordination.

Pioneers Asia 2016 is an event that bridges startups and corporations by creating a meeting point for tech founders, innovation executive, & investors. Teaming up with Nikkei Inc., Pioneers Asia launched its first event in Japan, with an aim to support the growing startup scene in Asia. Pioneers Asia brought in a little over 1,000 participants; a strong start to making Japan a hub for startups and innovation. STEIN was responsible for sponsor management, set production, liaison with oversee startups as well as handling logistics.

The Japan Bonsai Experience Project is led by the Kanto District Transport Bureau in cooperation with Jeki. Begun in 2019, this project aims to create bonsai related activities and increase the number of international travelers visiting Saitama City, the capital of the bonsai world. With a combination of hands-on bonsai workshops, exhibitions and educational presentations, the project promotes the value of bonsai on a global scale. With our background in inbound tourism, STEIN facilitate the promotion, communication and the making of new content for global visitors for the Japan Bonsai Experience Project. See More…

Navigate Asia is a startup pitch event series hosted by JETRO. Commencing in Bangkok, it strives to give promising entrepreneurs the chance to turn their vision into a reality. The pitch event series will be held in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Aspiring to realize novel ideas with today's thought leaders, this project hopes to help unleash the hidden potential in Asia. STEIN was a key member to creating the strategy for the event, oversaw entire branding proposal, and is in charge of developing English advertisements to promote the event.

Deeper Japan connects curious travelers with meaningful experiences that celebrate local flavor, tradition, and community. 
We’ve experience our own moments of frustration when trying to locate alternatives to overcrowded tourist attractions, knowing that there had to be so much out there to explore in our own travels. In guiding friends and family around our home country Japan, we've also realized that the best memories are made when wandering off the guidebook route, and into nooks and crannies where organic connection can truly happen. Language and cultural barriers can make it particularly hard to locate local hidden gems, and this is definitely the case in Japan. With this in mind, we started Deeper Japan in 2017 with a desire to serve as a bridge to authentic  experiences that are off the beaten track. See More...

 
 

Rikuzentakata x Detouur In effort to show travelers a different side of Japan, we collaborated with Marugoto Rikuzentakata (Marugoto), an NPO based in Rikuzentakata, Iwate to put together an excursion in which local residents can share their local dishes, homes, and heritage with you. With Marugoto, we produced a community-driven and sustainable mode for traveling, where both the traveler and residents benefits from the exchange. See More...
